Breaking News
// September 19 - The finalised version is drawing nearer each passing week. We've got the basic versions down. Guitars, bass, vocals and even some backing vocals are all recorded.
We're not nearly done yet, there's quite a bit of polish and additional layers to be added, but we're making solid progress.
Martin's been adding a couple of updates on the Myspace site as well as two
studio report videos. Don't expect Spielberg-worthy special effects, but they definitely will suffice to give you a look in our sumptuous sessions.
Current News
// June 03 - We're working our way through the upcoming demo. Guitar tracks for 5 of the 6 songs are completed (well, excluding the tailbit of one track that
didn't fit anymore into last week's schedule) and the sound is a massive improvement. As far as I'm concerned anyway, and I'm the one who's doing the guitars, so...
Finished the artwork for the sleeve as well, but still got quite a bit more work to do before I'm done with my bit for the release. And that isn't even including
recording the bassparts and some more other things, such as extra guitar lines and the likes.
Martin placed a recording session update on the Myspace site which you might find interesting.
// Februari 01 - I know, I know - I said a week. It's become slightly more due to RL (regular stuff like Xmas, new year, school, getting ill n all that jazz) and me being a lazy bastard.
Mostly the latter really. Anyway, there's plenty of stuff to report. We've started the creative work on our next promo and I for one am getting damn excited about the options and the songs.
It's going to showcase Serotoninin in all its multiple facets. From stompingly slow to stark raving maddingly fast and raw... it's got it all. It'll also feature our longest song to date.
We even pulled a Neurosis by constructing the opening song from a single riff and expanding on it. It'll be a ton of work to get it working the way we want, but it should be worth it.
Right, I finally managed to get round to updating the gear section as well. I aim to be expanding it sometime with pictures and technical info, but this'll have to do for now.
I promised you the lyrics to Virulent as well, but discovered I got ahead of myself and had included those in a previous update, so if you haven't taken a look at their sheer
lyrical brilliance yet (*ahem*) feel free to do so now.
And lastly, we managed to find a guitar player who actually practised for our first rehearsal together. We'll find out in a while if it's a permanent addition and it may well delay our
plans for either the promo or the full-length, but if things click we'll be aiming to appear on stage asap.
Let me just point you to our Myspace again as Martin tends to update more often than I do.
// November 30 - No, we didn't die. Just been exceedingly busy with things other than music for a while. But don't fear. We started work on a threesome of songs
that'll appear on a Promo in a while.
Furthermore, we've worked on our sound a bit more and tested that in yet another recording. Virulent
should help comfort those who pined, waiting for us to inform you once again.
On that note - the next update will be coming a fair bit faster. I'll aim to redo the menu-buttons slightly and finally get off my rear and update that gear section.
Expect more to come this week, including the lyrics for Virulent.
// June 22 - Brutalism said they'd be including the track on a second show so I was waiting on
that one. But since we're now quite a bit down the road, I decided to make Stalagmite
available for download as well. Check it out - I think it's most crushing we've ever sounded.
// May 2 - And we're back. It's been a while, but I've been holding back for one major reason. We recorded a brand new track and the mix has been
a massive piece of work for Martin. New guitar sound, completely new drum sound and a new bass sound made things a lot harder. Do think you can tell the difference !
However... I won't link it here yet. We have given Brutalism a copy and they will include it on their radio show (no. 18).
Go there if you want to hear it now, otherwise you'll have to wait for me to include it on the site.
In the meanwhile, Promologue has gotten a couple of (rather positive) reviews.
- Lords of Metal [ en | nl ]
- Burning Misery [ en ] | (Works review)
- Aardschok [ nl ]
// Februari 8 - Updated Biography to include reference to Promologue and fix a few typoes.
// Januari 17 - Added the remaining lyrics for the promo as well as a couple of my own lyrics.
Next update should see a revision of the gear section and fixing a few minor glitches on the site.
// Januari 10 - Made a few further updates to the site.
Including adding a few more links to the promo, removing old versions of the tracks on the promo and I uploaded a new version of Momentum
Check out it out in the Sounds section.
Expect a new update fairly soon, which will feature the lyrics of the new tracks (among other stuff).
// December 27 - It's been a while, but we've finished a brand spanking new promo for you guys !
Downloadable from here. Four track, front included @ 150 DPI.
You'll need to print and cut it out yourselves ;]
Use WinRar to un'zip' the file.
// December 27 - Check out Serotonin @ Myspace.com,
as you'll find some news and goodies there that won't be appearing here. That, and Martin is faster with updating
than I am at times.
